Oklahoma City Zoo

10302015-ESOW This red phase Eastern Screech Owl presented very thin and with a cataract in his right eye.  There was no obvious injury to his eye.  It is possible he was born with the cataract and simply could not hunt well enough to survive long term on his own.  He is definitely non-releasable.  Fortunately we have been able to find a home for him!  He will be going to the Oklahoma City Zoo!  He is going to the zoo along with our other non-releasable screech owl that we have had since Decembeer, 2015.
