Ginger
Red-shouldered Hawk
History
Ginger came to us in late summer of 2015 from another raptor rehabilitator in Indiana. She has a permanent wing injury which causes a permanent wing droop; she cannot fly well enough to be released. Ginger is an exquisitely colored Red-shouldered Hawk; she has a lot of deep red colored feathers. She is large for a Red-shouldered, so we assumed she was a female. And then she laid some eggs the spring of 2016, which obviously confirmed it!
