20250618-American Kestrel-1

9/9/2025 -The American Kestrels were released together by rescuer, Ross Eagleson today in Huntertown,  One male and two females -- after the release, the kestrels were heard calling to each other.

This beautiful little bird found itself inside a privacy fence that it either couldn't or simply didn't want to escape from.  I placed my net over it, gained control and picked it up. 

Returning to the Soarin' Hawk facility only minutes later, it was found to be in great shape!  This little Kestrel will be given a dose of vitamins and fed a tender mouse or two while being observed for a few days then be released.
