History

09/03/2023 -- The bird succumbed to injuries and was humanely euthanized.

This call came to the rescue line in the early evening with a location on an Allen county road that I did not recognize so I had to go! Mary met me in the driveway and said "follow us". The bird was in a mown area back a long lane near US 24 East of New Haven.

This hawk was quite calm and I was able to secure and transfer to a carrier quickly. Once in ICU a careful examination revealed crushed bones in the left "forearm and elbow".
