20221208-Eastern Screech Owl-1

Called to rescue an eastern screech owl ( chocolate color)that dove down into moving car between the tires.  The owl was resting, alert, tried to fly away, but easy to pick up.  No visible injuries.  The family is hopeful for his return.  Triage by Gigi S noticed blood on his right nictitating membrane.  Keel was 4. Meloxicam given and will rest in ICU for further evaluation.  Submitted by Anne H.
