20220205-Great Horned Owl-1

This owl was picked near Johnson and Goshen Rd in Fort Wayne. Caller stated he was unable to fly and just perched on some branches near by. When the volunteer arrived to pick up the bird, it had moved. Thus a trek through the snow following foot prints was in order. Through several attempts in some brush, the owl was captured and taken to our ICU unit for examination. It was discovered this guy had a fracture of left Ulna and possible left Radius as well. The wing was wrapped and bird was given pain and supportive medications. He has been undergoing Physical therapy and progress is monitored daily.
