This bird was picked up in Claypool IN near a cellular tower. The caller advised that the bird had been on the ground for hours and unable to fly. It was brought to our ICU unit and an initial exam performed. It was found that the bird has some pretty significant bruising on the R wing as well as lice throughout feathers. He was treated with some fluids, powdered for the lice and given some medication to relieve pain. He will be kept in ICU where his progress will be monitored daily. 08/09/21 This young osprey is still being hand fed and monitored but it continues to improve
