20210522-Turkey Vulture-1

A caller to our rescue line had found a turkey vulture in its back yard 5 days ago. He was trying to feed it until he found out about our organization. We sent a volunteer to pick up this very dehydrated vulture. It was brought to our treatment facility and evaluated.. No obvious injuries were found but the bird was very pale and lethargic. It was treated for the presence of body lice and fed appropriate food and given fluids. It is slowly gaining its strength back 06/04/21 This vulture is becoming more active but is still not flying.
