20210510-Red-tailed Hawk-1

This Red Tailed hawk was found on the ground and brought to SoarinHawk ICU by Fort Wayne Animal care and Control. Upon initial examination no serious injuries were found. There was a small puncture wound on the crown of it’s head which was closed with surgical glue and numerous scrapes on feet as well as cere that were healing over. No fractures discovered and bird was at a healthy weight with keel score of 2-1/2 to 3. Hawk will be continually monitored for release.
