History

Received a call about a Snowy Owl that had been cut out of a wire fence in Howe and was taken to the DNR station. When I arrived he was in a dog cage and had no apparent injuries, until I removed him from the cage and noted several abrasions on his right wing. I thanked the DNR folks for their call, gave them several of our brochures to hand out to folks and left for ICU.   When i arrived, Maraiah and Diana were there and did the triage on the bird. It did have several areas of abrasions and muscle tears. He was treated and put in the incubator. As always we hope and pray these guys can get better and get back to nature. Prayers for you little guy.   Bill Oberg 12/4/2020 This owl needed stiches to repair its torn tendons and muscles. It is eating well and quite feisty.
