20201006-Barred Owl-1

Tuesday I received a call from Lynn about a barred owl at south bend animal shelter. I picked it up . Not sure if it could fly but it did flap both wings when putting in box. The talons definitely worked too. It had a bad right eye . I took it to our treatment facility for evaluation. Seemed pretty good shape but worn out. 10/11/2020 This owl appeared to have diminished vision in both eyes when brought to the treatment facility. It is starting to find food on its own in its enclosure. this is encouraging. Vision issues are always unpredictable . So this owls condition is guarded  10/14/2020 This owl has been moved to our rehabilitation facility for further evaluation
