This Redtail Hawk was picked up on Wilt street and believed to have been hit by a car or flew into car. Bird was on side of road and moved to grassy area; area residents called animal care & control. Another area resident called Soarinhawk. Hawk was taken to ICU and found that there were no apparent fractures however there was a small cut to one of toes on R foot which required no treatment, visual signs of blood in mouth, evidence of feather mites and possible vision issues in right eye. Was given medication for pain, powdered for mites and given Ivermectin for parasites. 05/31/2020 Possible vision issue. X-rays were normal 06/06/2020 Treatment continues for this hawk 06/14/2020 We have moved this hawk to our rehabilitation facility. It will start creance conditioning in a week. This allows it to regain its muscle strength and for us to evaluate its ability to fly. In the hopes it can eventually be released
