20171231-Eastern Screech Owl

Soarin' Hawk got a call on 12/31 that an owl had hit the side of a house and was sitting on their patio.  They picked it up and put it in a box and took it inside their house.  It appeared to have an eye that was damaged, and a little blood was coming from its beak.  A volunteer picked it up and took it to Dr. Funnell for further examination. 01/04/2018 He came in with a ruptured left eye.  But it healed and re-inflated overnight!  He still has damage in the inside of his eye, but there still is a chance he will be able to be released back into the wild.
