20171122-Rough-legged Hawk-1

Thanks to Animal Control in Kosciusko County for picking up this beautiful rough-legged hawk!  It was found along a roadside so we assume it was hit by a vehicle.  Upon initial exam it had a drooping right wing but was alert, active and in excellent weight. 11/28/2017 He is doing well in a small flight pen. His wing is drooping less every day.  He is eating very well .  01/04/2018 - His wing seems to be healing well.  He occasionally has a wing droop, but it is less frequently.  He is flying well up to high perches in his flight pen.  His prognosis is good for return to the wild.
